COVID-19 RESPONSE – WA
Housing Choices WA has adjusted the way we work to proactively prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of tenants, staff, contractors, and the broader community.
We will continue to review and revise our services based on the latest WA State Government advice and encourage tenants to regularly check this page for the most up-to-date information about our services in relation to COVID-19.
If you or someone you support has any questions about Housing Choices WA’s services during this time, please contact your local office as our staff remain ready and able to assist.
Visiting our offices
We ask that you to comply with the applicable WA State Government mask mandate when coming into our offices and do not attend the office if you are feeling unwell.
Please note that we do not need your proof of vaccination to enter our offices and access our services.
Visiting you in your home – Inspections and maintenance
Housing Choices WA will continue to carry out property inspections and maintenance works in your home.
All Housing Choices WA staff members and contractors are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to ensure your safety. We will continue to abide by our COVID Safe protocols including physical distancing, wearing masks in your home, and using hand sanitiser before entering your property.
Prior to visiting your home for inspections or maintenance works we will ask you if anyone in your household is feeling unwell, has tested positive for COVID-19 or is self-isolating due to exposure to COVID-19.
Please ensure you are wearing a mask when we enter your property. You do not need to be home for your inspection if you are particularly concerned about your safety however, we do need you to be home for any pre-arranged contractor visits.
Tenant Engagement
Our Tenant Engagement team will continue to be responsive to the needs of tenants and provide initiatives to keep tenants connected to their community and supported during this time.
Our tenant groups and events in the community will continue with hygiene and physical distancing protocols in place. If you are currently struggling and need help accessing support or financial assistance, please let us know so we can connect you with services that can help.
