An emergency is a situation that poses an immediate risk to health, life, property, or environment. Most emergencies require urgent intervention to prevent a worsening of the situation.

Types of emergencies

  • Medical emergencies including heart attacks, strokes, cardiac arrest and trauma
  • Natural disasters including bushfires, floods, earthquakes, mudslides

In an emergency such as bushfires or severe weather events, Housing Choices Australia will follow directions from the lead response agency and we strongly advise all our residents to do the same.
