Interim Chief Investment Officer
Salman Choudhry, CFA, has been appointed as the Interim Chief Investment Officer at Housing Choices Australia, where he will lead the organisation’s investment strategy, major commercial transactions and funding partnerships. He works closely with government, lenders, institutional investors and delivery partners to support the growth of Housing Choices’ national development pipeline.
Salman joined Housing Choices as a Commercial Analyst and progressed through a series of senior roles including Commercial Manager, General Manager Commercial Transactions and Director of Commercial Transactions before stepping into the Interim Chief Investment Officer position in December 2025. This progression reflects both his deep expertise and his strong contribution to the organisation’s commercial capability over time.
With more than 17 years of international experience across sovereign wealth funds, boutique investment banks and one of Australia’s largest Community Housing Providers, Salman brings extensive capability in financial structuring, deal execution, capital strategy and risk governance. He has played a central role in shaping innovative funding models adopted by government, securing large-scale social and affordable housing projects, and embedding the commercial and investment frameworks that underpin Housing Choices’ long-term growth.
