To be eligible, you must:

• Be an NDIS participant or currently applying for the NDIS
• Have SDA funding in your NDIS plan (or be assessed as meeting the criteria for extreme functional impairment or high support needs)
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be able to pay rent and utilities
• Sign a residential agreement (either personally or through your legal guardian)

Yes, you have choice and control over who provides your core support.

Supported Independent Living (SIL) refers to the supports required by participants for daily living.

Specialised Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to the type of housing designed for participants with very high support needs or extreme functional impairments.

Your Reasonable Rent Contribution (RRC) will not exceed:

25% of your basic Disability Support Pension (DSP)
100% of your Commonwealth Rent Assistance (CRA)
25% of your Pension Supplement

Yes. Small domestic pets are permitted and are welcomed into the Nightingale community. There is a simple pet agreement form that we will discuss with you.

Pets can be kept on the understanding that they do not:

Disturb neighbouring households.

Create a nuisance.

Cause a danger to other tenants.

To apply for SDA, you must be a NDIS participant with a plan and clear housing goal.

You’ll need supporting documents and an OT (Occupational Therapist) Housing Assessment Report for submission to the NDIA.
