Ellie has over 18 years working in senior roles in housing, local government and research. She is a creative, strategic thinker who proactively leads delivery at an operational level.
Ellie has a PhD in community housing and was an AHURI scholar and University of Tasmania scholarship holder.
As South East England Area Manager for one of the UKs largest housing associations, Ellie led a team that delivered social outcomes in complex, multi-tenure regeneration neighbourhoods with large sites at Oxford and Reading.
Much of Ellie’s work has focussed on identifying and building capacity through new partnerships in arts and, social inclusion. These have been very successful in increasing life opportunities and neighbourhood cohesion and in working across different tiers of government and local, national and European funders. As a leader, she has supported her teams to evaluate and monitor social and monetary impact with significant outcomes across a range of wellbeing and thriving communities indexes and value for money measures.
She has been a Board member in Australia and England of state libraries and national charities for family wellbeing and has strong governance and social justice organisational management skills.
