The Opportunity

We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity based in Melbourne’s CBD available for a Human Resources Advisor to join our collaborative and fast-paced People, Culture and Communications team.  We have an enthusiastic, driven and focused team.  Our team value statement is ‘we help our people home people’.  We are not only seeking someone who naturally aligns with our culture but is connected to contributing to improved outcomes for our clients.

Reporting to the HR Manager this is a true HR Generalist advisory role working in partnership across the business to provide expert guidance, advice and support in day to day HR services as well as more complex People matters.  In addition, this role will have a strong development and improvement focus and will contribute to HCA People and Culture Strategy, initiatives and projects.

About You

  • Minimum 3 Years’ experience in a HR generalist role
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate HR related discipline
  • Sound understanding and experience in contemporary People/HR practices and the confidence to provide HR policy advice.
  • Performance management, ER/IR knowledge and experience with a sound knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and statutory requirements and principles
  • Recruitment, selection, onboarding and induction experience
  • Experience with Payroll, Remuneration & benefits
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively consult, negotiate and influence across a range of stakeholder groups
  • Ability to build strong working partnerships with managers and staff
  • Workforce planning and improvement as well as experience working on HR projects, developing policy and procedures, staff consultation/engagement and change initiatives
  • Outcomes and solutions focused
  • Excellent attention to detail
